![]() He used all three blowers on his cottage and his brother-in-law's cottage early this fall. Here's a link to a video my brother-in-law made for me to demonstrate each blower. You can't fine tune the engine to get the best performance. Stihl hedger thebeststihlhedgerWhat is the difference between the Stihl HS 82 T and the HS 82 R Hedge trimmer Well Josh is here to give you a full explan. I don't buy Echo or Shindaiwa products because the carburetors are not adjustable. Lightweight, amazing anti-vibration system and tons of power. Just pick the one that makes you happiest. I would recommend the Husqvarna 525L, 525LS or 525LST. I haven't had a chance to try the Magnum version of the 600 but from what people say, it surpasses the regular one. I currently have 3 whips, 2 edgers, 1 multi tool, 2 backpack blowers, and a hedge trimmer. The best ones I have found and have used for years are Redmax. Stihl is probably right behind so we'll see. As a lawn contractor I have tried stihl, shindawia, Tanaka, and echo( not the ones home Depot sell). Apparently Redmax is producing a new model for the spring. I used to have a Redmax 8000 and I'll say that The Shindaiwa surpasses it for power. It's also heavier but it's very well-balanced. I have tons of Stihl equipment but have never. The Shindaiwa is more powerful than the Echo but not by a lot. I have always loved RedMax trimmers but over the last couple of years I have had a lot of issues with them. ![]() For big cleanups, the Echo and the big Shindaiwa are great. I've had no problems with it over 4 years of ownership. I am going to play it safe with my money.I have the Stihl BR600, the Echo PB770, and the Shindaiwa EB854 (That's the replacement for the EB8520). I made the mistake when I first start buying lawn equipment by buying the EB3410, I contribute to the R&D already. I rather pay same price for the old engine than to have the new one. The 31cc push rod has been around for 10years where the new GX35 only out for 2 years and has timing belt. When I bought my Honda trimmer, I bought HHT31S instead of the new HHT35S with the newer 35cc engine for the same reason. In the hybrid engines case, feedback is mixed at best. I am not going to blindly endorse a product just by default particularly when it is quite different from their existing products. This is the same reason I question Echo going to single ring engine. Boths Shindaiwa and Stihl make top quality 2 cycles equipment but it questionable on the hybrids. You really have to keep up with the news. Stihl gives you a wide range from low-power models for simple cutting to high-power ones for big trees. Redmax is known for efficient, strong engines that make tough jobs easier. They are wrong on V6 Camry and Lexus Gs430. Power output Redmax and Stihl chainsaws both offer different levels of power output to match various tasks. People think any car by Toyota got to be good. I think people are too much into brands, just because they make good product does not guarentee their new product is as reliable. I own a C4, I absolute would not buy another hybrid. Bottom line, read the horse power and the size of the engine, pick the comparable ones to choose.įar as I concern, I would sacrifice a little spec to get one that have a more reliable track record. I read all those and try to make sense out of it but can't exactly. We will analyze key specifications as well as features on both brands. Click to expand. That's the whole point, they all have different standard of testing, not exactly apple to orange, but different enough to confuse people. In this FY2020 Comparison Module we will look at the RedMax Trimmers and how they compare to the Stihl Trimmers.
